There are three thriving and well-supported Friends groups at St Peter’s School, who support the school in a variety of projects and activities.
Together, the Friends aim to create a positive and friendly school community, encourage closer links between parents, staff and pupils, and generate money through fundraising events.
Who we are
If you are a parent of a St Peter’s pupil, you are automatically a member of the Friends of St Peter’s.
Each section of the school has a small committee made up of parents of pupils at the school, including the Friends of St Peter’s 2-8, the Friends of St Peter’s 8-13 and the Friends of St Peter’s 13-18. Each committee also includes staff representatives from the school. In addition, the committees have helpers who can be called upon to lend a hand at events.
What we do
The Friends meet regularly and volunteer their time to support St Peter’s School. The Friends help at events including music concerts, cabaret nights, Stargazing Live, quiz nights, pop-up cafés and themed discos for the younger children. These events provide an opportunity for parents, staff and pupils to meet socially, get to know new people and have some fun.
Any proceeds from Friends’ events are either used to buy items for the School or donated to the nominated school charity for each section of the school. The three committees decide how to spend the Friends of St Peter’s funds and usually meet twice a term to discuss and organise fundraising events and to allocate funds.
Get Involved
Getting involved isn’t a huge time commitment and any time you can give is greatly appreciated. Volunteer helpers are welcome and we encourage all parents to offer their help for just one or two events each year.

Support Us
There are many ways you can help with the Friends of St Peter’s. The best way of supporting is to attend fundraising events with your family. You may also be able to help by baking cakes or serving refreshments at some events, or by donating raffle prizes to raise funds.
With your support, the Friends will be able to provide additional school resources, run social events to promote an inclusive community, support the school’s charitable work, welcome new parents and pupils to the school, and make a positive contribution to the experience of children at St Peter’s.
