Inspired by this term's learning theme, 'Alice in Wonderland', our Year 2 pupils decided to go on a magical adventure to Northwood Trail Fairy Sanctuary in the hope of meeting their own magical creatures!
Their imaginations were running wild along the enchanting trail as they saw Mermaid inhabited lakes, fairy villages in the treetops and weapons of giants! The children visited the Fairy Museum where they were amazed by extraordinary artefacts which were discovered on the site, from fragments of elven clothing to a mermaid skeleton!
This visit gave our pupils hope that these magical creatures do exist and the children were inspired to create their own doorways. They then designed their own magical creatures, which they sketched and painted using watercolours. All pupils showed amazing creativity and drawing skills!
