This week, St Peter’s A Levels RS and Philosophy pupils were joined by guest speaker Chris Eyre for a seminar covering an in-depth introduction to philosophy throughout the day. Chris started in the morning with a talk on the modern debate on mind, body, and soul. The sessions continued with topics including ‘Is there such a thing as right and wrong?’, ‘Is the Ontological Argument really a joke?’ and ending with ‘Plato’s epistemology v Aristotle’s’, alongside some essay tips. Sixth Formers enjoyed interacting with Chris and asked great questions!
It was a pleasure having Chris to visit. Having 20+ years of experience with A Level and GCSE Religious Studies and work as a Principal Examiner, it was a great opportunity for our Sixth Form pupils to participate in. Thank you to all who organised the visit and for Chris for the engaging insight.
