This term saw the return of the general knowledge 'Challenge' to Houses, starting with the Upper Sixth Form. Different year groups will have the chance to participate over the school year on rotation and we have combined Houses into teams to make sure that everybody gets the opportunity to participate and create a novel dynamic of both competition and camaraderie. It has also been wonderful to see pupils who would not normally get involved in this type of event taking part and having a go! The competition has been fierce and the knowledge on display particularly impressive. Across the Upper Sixth competition, the top scoring teams have been Queens & Temple (with 800 points) and Clifton & Rise (with 790 points). These teams competed in today's Grand Final. Clifton & The Rise had been the winners at their previous meeting, but Queens & Temple came back with a decisive 170-90 victory. A huge well done to everyone who took part and to the teachers who so ably acted as Quiz Masters throughout and gave up their lunchtime to do so. Next term sees the Challenge move to the Fifth Form with different House combinations. It promises to be another thriller, we are sure!
