Despite the lack of fixtures, sport at St Peter’s has continued to flourish this term. Our pupils have continued to train and their motivation has remained high throughout.
We recognised the pupils' desire for competition and so the House Sports Competitions began within year group bubbles. This has proved to be a popular feature with all year groups competing in a variety of House events.
A great variety of sports have been played and it has also great to see a number of mixed events such as mixed hockey and tennis. The manner in which the boys and girls have worked together in teams has been a real success. The girls have ventured into new areas also, with girls touch rugby and football, it has been fantastic to see them having a tremendous amount of fun learning a new sport.
The most impressive aspect has been the spirit with which these events have been played, well done to you all. We hope after Christmas we will be able to have some inter-school fixtures but if not the House events will continue to grow.
Many thanks to all who competed and represented their Houses this term, all the events were played with great spirit and provided everyone with much-needed competition.

Traditionally at this time, we would award colours and caps to our senior performers in our major sports. Unfortunately, we are unable to present them this term due to the current situation. When we return after Christmas we are hopeful to be playing some fixtures, which will enable us to reward individuals for their effort and commitment to sport at St Peter’s School.
