Our pupils at St Peter's 2-8 have adapted quickly to remote learning this term, enthusiastically embracing their new themes.
Each term, every year group at St Peter's 2-8 is given a new themes that will be the focus of their learning. The themes give our pupils a unique way to curiously learn about the world around them.
This term's themes include 'The Wild Robot' for Year 1, 'Gnomes on the Roam' for Year 2 and 'The Jungle Book' for Year 3.
Year 1 have already designed, planned and made their own robots, thinking carefully about the functions their robots can perform. They have also been learning about the benefits of camouflage, inspired by the character Roz in 'The Wild Robot'.
Year 3 have designed shoe box habitats inspired by their jungle theme. They have been on an intrepid adventure at home, demonstrating their resourcefulness by finding materials to create their jungle habitats.
Meanwhile, pupils in Reception have been creating fizzy concoctions in their kitchen, challenging themselves to fly the largest amount of money as they can on paper planes, and creating their own artwork using a range of materials and textures.
We are looking forward to seeing many more examples of creative approaches to remote learning as the term continues. Well done everyone!
