Last week, we were delighted to be joined by Catherine Jacob, writer, award ‐winning television correspondent and filmmaker. Catherine writes books for adults and children and particularly enjoys writing rhyming picture books. She was also Environment Correspondent for Sky News, travelling to far flung places like the Amazon and the Arctic Circle to report on this pressing issue.
In her beautiful new picture book about saving the bees, Betsy Buglove showed our children that you can make a difference, no matter how small. The book has a strong environmental message, encouraging children to appreciate the great outdoors while also educating them with fascinating facts about bees and bugs. All of the children really enjoyed the book and class workshops with Catherine.
Huge thanks to Catherine for coming into school and to Mrs Salisbury for organising such a wonderful experience for the children.
