Pupils of all ages returned to St Peter’s School today for the first time since December.
It has been wonderful to welcome all pupils back to school and to see the campus full of life, laughter and learning again.
To ensure a smooth return to school, all year groups were invited to school during the week commencing 1 March for two lateral flow tests, supervised by the Health Services team. Testing stations were set up in the Sports Hall and pupils were invited to school in their year groups to ensure social distancing could be maintained.
The testing process was calm and smooth, reassuring pupils, parents and staff ahead of their return to school on 8 March.
Mr Walker, Head Master, said:
It’s been a long journey for us, but today marks another important staging post on the way back to normality. I am very grateful to colleagues at St Peter’s School and pupils and parents for their support. It is great to see the pupils again.
