St Peter's School will be commemorating Holy Week virtually this year, with a special service of music and readings.
The service, which premieres at 6pm on Friday 26 March, is led by the School Chaplain Rev'd Daniel Jones and features five movements of Fauré's Requiem sung by the Upper Sixth Chapel Choir.
The choir began working on the material during the remote learning period, and the service was recorded after just two weeks of live rehearsals.
The service is usually held in York Minster, but this year the service was recorded in the St Peter's School Chapel.
Paul Miles-Kingston, Director of Music at St Peter's School, said:
My sincere thanks to everyone who has been involved, from Lucy and Iain in the editing, Keith as always with his superb accompanying, as well as Daniel presiding and organising the readers. It is a joy to be part of such a strong team.
Lucy Tomlinson, Music School Administrator, said:
It's a real testament to the pupils involved that we've been able to put this project together and we hope you enjoy it.
