The Boat Club returned to competition on Sunday 10 October at the Ancholme Head Race, a time trail over 2750m on the River Ancholme in Brigg, Lincolnshire.
St Peter's School entered 22 crews, including double sculls and quad sculls, with forty pupils competing from Fourth Form to Upper Sixth.
It was a long day, leaving school at 7.30am and returning at 6.00pm, but the pupils performed incredibly well securing five wins in total.
The crews raced over the 2 divisions and enjoyed great conditions. For many it was their first experience of racing. All the crews performed well with the J18 quad, J17 double, WJ16 quad, WJ15 coxed quad and WJ15 double all taking the win their category.
Our next fixture is York Small Boats' Head, a home fixture on the River Ouse on Sunday 21 November.
