Our J4 pupils have studied the novel Once by Morris Gleitzman this term, which focuses on the story of Felix, a young Jewish boy who is living in an orphanage during WW2 in Poland. Earlier this week pupils took part in a workshop. This gave our children an opportunity to explore the themes that arose from the novel and to plot Felix's physical and emotional journey.
The pupils worked with maturity and showed an excellent understanding of the novel, as well as sensitivity towards the challenging themes which have emerged over the course of the term.
