Last Wednesday our A Level English pupils went on a theatre trip to see 'Wuthering Heights'. A small number of pupils also stayed at the end to listen to a Q&A event with Wise Children's artistic director Emma Rice who shared her inspiration for turning Emily Bronte's novel into a dynamic theatrical experience.
"The show was brilliant- energetic and moving, and full of humour and music to bring the text to life. It will be really helpful for our A Level pupils who are studying the Gothic. The pupils were particularly impressed with the music, the energy of the actors, and the way that the challenging text material was made clear to understand and exciting to watch." - Miss Edgar, Head of English at St Peter's
