Hugo Qualifies for the Senior Olympiad Round 2

Before Christmas, Hugo, Emily and Monica (Upper Sixth) sat the UKMT Senior Maths Challenge Olympiad paper. The Olympiad paper is only accessed by the top 0.01% of all pupils attempting the UKMT Senior Maths Challenge. The paper is a three-and-a-half-hour exam with incredibly challenging questions.

Hugo achieved a phenomenal score and obtained a certificate of distinction! He now qualifies for the Olympiad round 2. No Peterite in recent years has qualified for the senior Olympiad round 2, which shows just how exceptional an achievement this is. This places Hugo in the top 100 pupils nationally, and The Olympiad round 2 is an entry point to the training and selection programme for international competitions.
