St Peter's School has been selected as one of four girls' cricket hubs in North Yorkshire.
The four hubs, which are located in York, Scarborough, Ampleforth and Harrogate, will offer 10 weeks of quality coaching from professional cricketers with two levels of girls' only training sessions - Development Level and Advanced Level.
The Development programme will include sessions covering both Softball and Hardball, with an emphasis on enjoying the game while working on their skills. Participants will have chance to develop at their own pace while enjoying fun drills, games of cricket and time in the nets if they wish.
The Advanced sessions will be for girls looking to refine their skills while they enjoy the sport. With a focus on skill development as well as tactical awareness built while out on the pitch playing games. Girls will have sessions based around skill development both on the outfield and in the nets as well as plenty of gameplay.
The Hub programme will also include a round-robin hub competition and participants will receive an individual hub playing kit.
