Alex (J2) completes the Junior Duke Gold Award

Alex (J2) is the first pupil at St Peter's to complete the Junior Duke Gold Award. He completed 7 challenges including a wide range of skills such as budgeting, washing the dishes, ICT and he even baked a splendid loaf of bread. He says he 'particularly enjoyed the music task and is hoping to take on the platinum award next year'.

Mrs Hick said 'I am so thrilled that Alex has achieved this brilliant award; he has really thrown himself into taking part in some incredible activities and certainly makes the most of every opportunity that comes his way.  The Junior Duke Award is a brilliant way of developing current interests and finding new ones. We only introduce the Junior Duke award at school this year and I've been so impressed with the number of pupils who were ready and willing to take on this challenge. I can't wait for more awards to be presented before the end of this term it has been such a wonderful way for the pupils to cultivate their resilience and independence.'
