Our catering department are working tirelessly to provide healthy, nutritious food for everyone at St Peter's School.
Covid 19 restrictions and social distancing have created new challenges for our catering team, affecting the way they prepare and serve meals.
Our Memorial Hall has been transformed into a bespoke dining room, serving breakfast and lunch six days a week, and the menus have been adapted to ensure that food can be served as quickly and safely as possible.
The food offer is constantly evolving, with a focus on 'one pot' meals where fresh vegetables, protein, sauce and seasoning are cooked together to create a delicious meal whilst helping to speed up service and reduce queueing at meal times. The catering team have also been listening to feedback to learn which dishes are most popular and taking action to increase pupil and staff satisfaction.
This week they have introduced a range of sandwiches and filled baguettes alongside salad boxes and protein pots to enhance the food offer at lunchtime.
As we come to the end of the first 3 weekly menu cycle, the catering team are implementing menu changes for all pupils aged 2-18, with exciting new dishes and old favourites on the menu.
Craig Robinson, Head of Catering and Hospitality, said: "We truly hope that all pupils and colleagues will enjoy the new menus and I would like to thank everyone for adapting so quickly and positively to our new lunchtime routine."
