St Peter's 8-13 has been shortlisted for the Prep School of the Year category in this year's TES Independent School Awards.
Prep schools in the UK were invited to apply, and shortlisted schools are recognised for their innovation, imagination and efforts to develop children in ways that go beyond the league tables.
The winners will be announced at an online virtual ceremony on Friday 30 April.
The academic year 2019-2020 was a busy and exciting one for St Peter's 8-13. Pupils and staff adapted quickly to remote teaching and learning, responding positively and creatively to the challenges posed by lockdown.
St Peter's 8-13 also became the new Choir School for York Minster, following the closure of the Minster School in June 2020.
Mr Falconer, Head of St Peter's 8-13, said: "I am so proud of all that the children, staff, parents and governors achieved together during the last 12 months. Being shortlisted for this prestigious award is a great testament to this."
