During the Half Term break, St Peter’s 8-13 pupils received a casting call for auditions for children to take part in the live screening of The Snowman at York Minster.
The children were only given three days to prepare, yet they all gave fantastic performances!
Massive congratulations to Sam B, Arthur G and Noah, who will be following in the footsteps of many a well- known treble, as they take to the stage in York Minster on December 11, where they will each perform to a sold-out audience.
The pupils will sing ‘Walking in the Air’ accompanied by a magnificent live orchestra, as The Snowman film plays on a big screen.
Holly Craven, Director of Music at St Peter’s 8-13, said: “Twelve pupils from St Peter’s School auditioned for The Snowman and we are delighted that Arthur, Noah and Sam have been selected to sing solos this weekend. It will be a wonderful event.”
Mr Falconer, Head of St Peter’s 8-13 said “I am so incredibly proud of all of the children who auditioned; to prepare a piece to perform for the audition in such a short space of time, and during half term, is an achievement in its own right. It was great to see so many people having a go.”
Rachel Whibley, Managing Director of Carrot Productions said “You must be very proud; the standard was incredibly high, and it was very hard to choose our final three”.
