St Peter’s has long-been recognised as one of the top schools in the country. The School was named The Sunday Times North Independent Second School of the Year 2019 and more recently was named the TES Independent School of the Year 2021.
St Peter’s is proud to work in partnership with other independent and state schools in York as part of the York Independent State Schools Partnership (ISSP). The partnership brings together three independent schools and nine state schools and, together, these schools provide exceptional opportunities for pupils across York.
Headmaster, Jeremy Walker said of the 2022 Parent Power List: “It is very rewarding to see the excellence of St Peter’s recognised once again as one of the top schools in the country and a leader of education in the North of England. Our pupils do achieve remarkable success in public examinations, but it is the huge range of skills, interests and values which they develop in and out of the classroom which sets them up for a confident, fulfilled life where they will make a positive impact on their world.”
