Author L. D. Lapinski visits St Peter's 8-13

Author L. D. Lapinski visited St Peter's 8-13 today for a series of special World Book Day events.

Organised by the Library at St Peter's 8-13, the day included two brilliant talks to J1-3 and J4-5 about L. D.'s new book 'The Strange Worlds Travel Agency' and two wonderful workshops for J1 where they created their own mini adventure book. 

Isla MacDonald, Librarian at St Peter's 8-13, said: "It was absolutely marvellous having L. D. in today! The whole school is buzzing with enthusiasm for books and stories."

L. D. Lapinski said: "What an absolutely amazing way to end #WorldBookDay week! Thank you so much to St Peter's for having me for the day, you are simply bursting with future authors and amazing creatives."

Pupils and staff at St Peter's 8-13 also took part in a 'Drop Everything and Read' event on Thursday 3 March, where the whole school stopped for 20 minutes to read a book of their choice.
