The whole community of St Peter’s School wishes to express its sadness at the death of Her Majesty The Queen. We send our condolences to all in the Royal Family and those who knew her and will keep them in our prayers over the forthcoming days.
The School wishes to express enormous gratitude for Her Majesty’s steadfast service and dedication to the nation and Commonwealth throughout her 70 year reign, which will never be forgotten.
We will be joining the country in mourning and remembrance over the forthcoming days. A Book of Condolence has been placed in our school Chapel and memorial services and prayers are planned. In time, we will celebrate all The Queen achieved in her long lifetime and reign.
Head Master, Jeremy Walker, said
“I am sure I echo the thoughts of the everyone when I say how very sad I was to hear this news. Her Majesty The Queen remains a role model to us all and she will be missed beyond all measure.
The School will observe the period of mourning and join our prayers to those of the nation, Commonwealth and the world, giving thanks for her life and eternal remembrance.”
