On November 5th, Bonfire Night, St Peter's hosted our first fireworks show since before the COVID-19 pandemic. As per tradition, St Peters has never burned an effigy of Guy Fawkes, who attended the school in the late 1500's.
There was a great turnout of around 1,300 guests as the St Peters community joined together to have hot chocolate, parkin, and toffee apples before the fireworks began. Glow sticks and Guy Fawkes baubles were for sale by the Pavilion.
It was a fantastic group effort by all the members of staff who contributed to ensure everything ran smoothly, and well done to the students who helped host.
The total amount raised by the fireworks was over £1,800!
