Congratulations to the winners.

Thank you to all those who played and hopefully see you all next year.
Since then, the Grafton Morrish scratch team took part in the finals weekend. The following report was written by Bob Elliot the non-playing team captain.
‘Public School Old Boys Golf Association
2022 Finals held at the Hunstanton & Royal West Norfolk Golf Clubs
on 7,8 & -9 October 2022, playing for the Grafton Morrish Trophy, Solihull Salver and Committee Bowl..
This was the 60th anniversary of the Grafton Morrish, and St Peter's have been taking part since 1963, Brothers John & Tom Booth and their friend Graham Booth were the mainstays of the original team. Andrew Robson and the writer played in 1964 and the School has been represented at many finals since then, winning the Committee Bowl in 1991.
Recently the Old Boys have qualified for these Finals once again.
The main tournament consisting of 48 regionally qualifying Schools, represented by six golfers, playing scratch match-play foursomes, in a knock-out format.
This year St Peters had a bye into the 2nd round where they were drawn against George Heriot's, six times former winners of the event!
Joe Copley and Tom Lloyd, playing top, put up stout resistance against the Scots first pairing, which included David Campbell who has played in all of George Heriot's winning teams, and who also holds the record of having played in 104 rounds of these matches, but they succumbed on the 16th, losing 3&2.
Matthew Roberts and Charles Murray fought back from an early deficit to take the second match by a similar margin, following a run of par scores.
The match, played in a howling gale on lightning greens, then depended on Kevin Miller and Matthew Stephenson, who again fought back well from an early deficit. only to be thwarted by a series of solid eight-foot putts from their opposition and they finally lost on the 14th.
George Heriot's were knocked out in the Quarter Final by the eventual winners, Epsom, who beat Tonbridge in the Final. Birkenhead were the most successful Norther team losing in the Sem Final.
The Solihull Salver was played at Royal West Norfolk, again in gale conditions on flaky fairways and fast greens, which made scoring very difficult. St Peters failed to qualify in the top four to play in the Committee Bowl, but have gained great experience of these challenging courses and of the scratch foursomes format, which should stand them in good stead for future years.
Many thanks to the team members and their supporters who followed every hole.
Bob Elliott - Non- playing Captain’
