A festive time was had by all at the annual OP Christmas get-together. Forty OPs gathered in school for a delicious 2 course Christmas Lunch, followed by the Nine Lessons and Carols service and a mulled wine and cider at the Exhibition afterwards. The event saw leavers from 1957 to 2020 catch up amongst themselves and with current pupils.
During the dinner, OP club President, Victoria Inness, warmly thanked everyone for coming and made a special presentation to former OP club members, Peter Netherwood and Mark Hepburn.
Victoria said:
Both Peter and Mark made such amazing contributions to the Club. Peter and Mark stepped down from the committee in December 2022. Both were involved in a variety of roles over the years, and both were OP Committee Presidents. Peter from 2006-2008 and Mark succeeding him from 2008-2010. They both also served as governors of the school.
We are so thankful for all they have done for the Club, and to be in the position we are today, because of their hard-work and dedication to our community.
At York Minster, everyone gathered to be treated to the wonderful service of Nine Lessons and Carols given by the school community and the choirs of St Peter’s.
Thank you to all who came, we wish you all a peaceful and happy Christmas season. If you're interested in joining us next year email [email protected] to be added to our mailing list.
