We are delighted for talented Upper Sixth pupil and Head Boy, Toby, who has deservedly been selected for the England Under-18 Rugby Squad and will attend his first training camp next week.
Brave Toby has been undergoing rehabilitation after injury and until a few weeks ago had not played rugby since August 10. Despite this, he was selected for England based on only 20 minutes of rugby he was allowed to play two Saturdays ago, and 35 minutes last Saturday. What a wonderful achievement and comeback.
In-demand Toby is also being approached by premiership clubs.
Toby has also been selected to represent England U18 at the Six Nations Tournament in Dublin for the 12 day festival. This is a huge achievement and we are so proud of his dedication to the sport. A big thank you to our wonderful Sports Department for their ongoing support alongside Toby's studies.
We are so proud of Toby whose perseverance and determination has been truly remarkable, setting a great example to other pupils in his role of Head Boy. We can’t wait to follow his journey playing for the England squad!
