The children at St Peter’s 2-8 have been learning about Remembrance and the symbolism of poppies. Inspired by their lessons, the children have all created a poppy using different designs.
Some of the designs feature striking black and white photos of the pupils’ hands with painted poppies. Other designs are inspired by mosaics, with small red and black tiles used to decorate the poppies.
The beautiful designs were attached to the fence on Clifton Courts for Remembrance Day, and the pupils gathered outside with the whole school community at 11am on 11 November for a socially distanced Remembrance Service.
