Pupils at St Peter’s have been making bird boxes to help our feathered friends during the winter months.
At St Peter’s 8-13, pupils have been building bird boxes in Design and Technology as part of their resistant materials project. The boxes will be ready to hang up in February. The pupils are working hard and following a step-by-step guidebook.
Earlier this term, pupils at St Peter’s 13-18 also used their Design and Technology facilities to make bird boxes which will be hung across the school campus.
The new Design and Technology Club MAKERSPACE* collaborated with the Eco-Club, exploring our campus to discover the many plants and wildlife that call St Peter’s home.
Each member made a bird box to be hung in the trees and buildings of the campus this winter. We hope to offer shelter to tits, tree sparrows and nut thatches!
