This term Year 1 are learning about Asia with their theme ‘Grab your backpack and go travelling’. This will involve the pupils travelling across Asia (virtually) and stopping off at different countries along the way.
Year 1’s Stunning Start began by joining in with the celebrations of the Thai New Year festival, Songkran. Pupils enjoyed a huge water fight on the playing field. They loved running around and spraying their friends with water guns in the sun!
Ms Carless said "What a magical start of the Summer Term as we celebrated Thai New Year. We had a water fight, just like the Songkran festival. The children loved it and certainly soaked all the teachers too!"
The children said:
I loved when we got sprayed by the hose.
I loved squirting all my friends and being soaked back too.
I loved squirting all of the teachers with my water gun.
