It's National Boarding Week. This year the focus is on Health and Wellbeing so we have asked our boarders to share their favourite things to do in their free time.
Ellie, The Rise (Upper Sixth)
Being part of our boarding community allows pupils to dedicate more time to the things they love, putting them in the best position to take advantage of all St Peter’s School has to offer. In her spare time, Ellie likes to read.
Henry, The Manor (Fifth Form)
Being part of our boarding community allows pupils to dedicate more time to the things they love. In his spare time, Henry enjoys playing the trumpet.
Giacomo, The Manor (Upper Sixth)
Giacomo’s favourite hobby is cooking. He enjoys following his mother's delicious Italian recipes and cooking for the boarders in The Manor. Living with people from a wide variety of backgrounds encourages respect for other people’s opinions and culture.
Olivia and Natalie, The Rise (Third Form)
Boarding brings memories, opportunities and friendships that last. In the Rise, Natalie and Olivia enjoy spending time together and braiding each other's hair.
Elise, The Rise (Upper Sixth)
Elise in the Upper Sixth enjoys spending her evenings in The Rise baking cakes. Boarding provides the ideal preparation for university and independent life, as well as giving pupils greater control over how they use their time.
Will, The Manor (Fourth Form)
Living on campus means boarders have unrivalled access to all St Peter’s has to offer including our sports facilities. To help manage his health and wellbeing, Will enjoys running.
Sophie and Lucy, Wentworth
Sephie and Lucy like to chat and watch TV in the evenings.
Alex, The Manor (Lower Sixth)
There are always events taking place in the House which bring everyone together. In The Manor, Alex likes to play pool.
Karim, Wentworth House
Karim can often be found playing chess in Wentworth. Living in an environment dedicated to learning encourages focus, determination and progress.
Olivia, The Rise (Upper Sixth)
To support her health and wellbeing, Olivia likes to cycle. As a boarding school, our ethos, timetable and structure are built around boarding life. There really is no better way to make the most of the fantastic opportunities St Peter’s School has to offer.
Henry, The Manor (Third Form)
In his spare time, Henry likes to play ping pong in The Manor. Facilities in the boarding houses offer lots of opportunities for boarders to practise their skills.
