St Peter's 2-8 have been raising money for the Children's Heart Surgery Fund. Sophia, a pupil in Year 3, nominated the charity as they supported her cousin when he was in hospital following heart surgery.
Throughout the year the children and the Friends of St Peter's 2-8 have been holding events such as quizzes, Clif fest, non-uniform days and more to raise funds to support this brilliant charity. At Christmas, we even travelled to Leeds to the charities headquarters to drop off boxes filled with crafts and activities for the children who were in hospital over Christmas along with donations of toys.
St Peter's 2-8 raised an astounding £5,500 for the Children's Heart Surgery Fund. We were delighted to be able to hand over a cheque in assembly to Lisa from the charity with Sophia's cousin and aunty there too.
