Staff leaving speeches are often tear jerkers, but this year was incredibly special with Mr Lawrence, Mr Gant, Ms Chisolm, Mr Grant, Mr Bowden and Mr Shaw, all leaving with nearly a hundred years’ worth of service between them. It’s a good sign when two members of staff serve 32 and 33 years, respectively.
Mr Matt Grant, said: “The staff here really do inspire; their range of skills is phenomenal. 33 years have flown by - great times - but now it’s time for cycling trips!”.
Mr John Shaw, said: “I shall miss staff and pupils, especially my MFL Team, but it’s the right time.”
There were also goodbyes to other valued members of staff including Ms Peter, Ms Davison, Ms Todd, and Mr Doyle, and our two Sports Grads, Mr Clouston and Mr Barker. Some were sadly unable to be present.
