All week, our pupils have been taking part in activities to celebrate International Women's Day.
Kicking off in Chapel on Monday, Head and Deputy Head of School Minnie and Sophia gave a talk about what International Women's Day (and being a woman) means to them.
Sixth Form pupils visited York Minster on Tuesday to help Yorkits, making washable feminine hygiene products for girls in developing countries. Those travelling to Cambodia in Easter for their World Challenge expedition will each take a set of products to gift to girls in the rural communities.
Pupils also made yellow ribbons for everyone to show their support, and gave flowers to our housekeeping and catering teams to show their appreciation.
Houses have been donating toiletries, toys and clothes for the charity IDAS. IDAS fight against domestic abuse and sexual violence, helping those recovering from trauma, irrespective of gender, age, ethnicity, disability and immigration status.
In Friday's Assembly, pupils and staff recited America Ferrera's speech from the Barbie movie, depicting what it is like to be a woman.
At break, pupils held a bake sale to raise money for IDAS and for Keys For Life.
